London Central Library Hosts Readings from the Works of Banned & Imprisoned Writers

Banned, Persecuted & Imprisoned Authors / Writers

  • Who: Co-sponsors, The London Public Library and Global Importune, a local human rights organization
  • What: Celebrate the works of banned, persecuted and imprisoned Amnesty International writers
  • Where: London Ontario Public Library Wolf Auditorium, 251 Dundas Street
  • When: Monday, February 24, 2020 at 7:00 PM during Canada’s “Freedom to Read Week”
  • Why: Help gain the release of banned, persecuted and Imp imprisoned writers’ worldwide
  • How:  1. A public reading from the works of various banned writer’s from around the world; 2. Hear the personal story of writer persecution from Raihan Abir, author of “Philosophy of Disbelief” 3. Sign pre-written letters of concern on behalf of Amnesty International persecuted writers
